Shooting stars are a members and free-to-play Mining activity: a star crashes somewhere in Gielinor, and players mine it for stardust (exchanged with Dusuri in Mining spots) plus a chance at extra ore and a small amount of Mining XP. Stars land at one of roughly 90 fixed sites and degrade through nine tiers as they're mined. Finding a freshly-landed high-tier star with few miners is the goal — that's what this tracker surfaces.
Switch to the map view, or hit View on any star, to see exactly where it landed on the OSRS world map. Each marker is coloured by tier, and its popup lists the world, time left, caller, and the nearest teleport to get there fast.
From the Star Miners community feed — the same public feed other star trackers use. Star Miners members scout stars in-game and call them; we render that feed with our own OSRS location data and map. We don't generate star data ourselves.
The tracker polls every 10 seconds, and the countdowns tick live every second in between. If the feed briefly goes down, we show the last known data with a note.
