The Official OSRS Podcast Episode 14 With Mod Ed
--> Season 2 of The Official OSRS Podcast is now live, with the first episode featuring Mod Ed! We're back! Season 2 of The Official OSRS Podcast starts today, and we're kicking things off with one of our most requested guests... Mod Ed! If you've ever cried at a quest cutscene, argued about Mahjarrat lore, wondered who keeps trying to make the player character swear, or simply asked "when will Mod Ed dab?", this one is for you. In this episode, Mods Ayiza and Sween sit down with Old School's Principal Narrative Designer to talk about his journey from intern to quest lead, the terrifying experience of pitching Dragon Slayer II at RuneFest, what it takes to write stories for a game with more than two decades of history, and why finishing long-running questlines properly matters so much. There is plenty of quest chat, obviously, but we also get into stage nerves, storytelling inspiration, James Bond, airsoft, Warhammer, and the very important question of whether "bollocks" was the right call. This episode was recorded on 4th March 2026.
Season 2 is only just getting started. Across the coming weeks, we'll be joined by Mods Ash, Jerv, Archie, Surma, Nin, and Other, with plenty more stories from behind the scenes of Old School RuneScape. Thank you again for all the support you've shown the podcast so far. Season 1, the pilot episodes, and our creator specials gave us a chance to try something new, and your response is the reason we're able to keep going. We really hope you enjoy Season 2, and we can't wait to hear what you think! We've really tried to make something that you can enjoy listening to whether you're playing OSRS, on the commute, school run, or wherever else. We do need your help, however. Please give them a watch and a listen and tell us what you think. We intend to use the feedback we gather from the first season to shape what the future of the podcast could look like.
