Mobile Character Switcher is almost here!
You might remember that back in April 2025 we shared our , including what we'd be working on next when it came to Jagex Accounts. One of the much requested features has been Mobile Character Switcher, and it's nearly time! Very soon you'll be able to chop and change which character you're focusing on within a couple of taps. Want to swap between salvaging on your main to the cow boss grind on your Iron? Well, with just a few taps you'll be there - no need to re-input all of your log in details, no authentication refresh, just straight back into the action.
When Mobile Character Switcher goes live, if you have more than one character attached to your account you'll be shown an extra option on the usual character select screen. Your default character on the initial menu will always be the character you last logged into on that device.
If you only have one character, you won't see the option at all.
When you head into the "Switch character" option, you'll see up to 20 available characters, four to a page.
In the character select menu, you'll see a handy little star by each name to denote whether that character is a members or free-to-play account. Silver for F2P, gold for members, just like in the world lists.
After selecting the character you want to play, you'll be taken back to the Play Now screen where you can change worlds or head straight into game. The world choice won't automatically change when you switch characters, so keep an eye on that!
