Mad Angel Combat Achievements

By now, many of you have conquered the Mad Angel and gotten familiar with its fight mechanics. Ready to take things up a notch? It's time to raise the stakes! From proving your mechanical mastery to testing your endurance, take on the Mad Angel Combat Achievements and rise to the occasion!

• •Medium — Kill Count — Mad Angel Adept — Kill the Mad Angel 25 times.
• •Medium — Mechanical — Dancing Queen — Kill the Mad Angel after getting 6 consecutive enhanced attacks by dodging the sweep attacks successfully during her enrage phase.
• •Medium — Mechanical — Smite Fight — Kill the Mad Angel after getting 3 consecutive enhanced attacks by successfully praying against the smite attacks during her enrage phase.
• •Medium — Mechanical — Juggling Act — Kill the Mad Angel after attacking her between each bounce of the blast attack during her enrage phase.
• •Hard — Kill Count — Mad Angel Veteran — Kill the Mad Angel 50 times.
• •Hard — Speed — Mad Angel Speed-Runner — Kill the Mad Angel 5 times within 10 minutes of entering her arena.
• •Hard — Perfection — Perfect Mad Angel — Kill the Mad Angel without taking any avoidable damage.
• •Elite — Stamina — This Is Madness — Kill the Mad Angel 15 times without leaving her arena.
• •Elite — Restriction — The Pen Is Mightier — Kill the Mad Angel without equipping any weapon.

• •Mad Angel kills now contribute to the Combat Achievements total boss kills tracker.
• •Jeweller's Chisel can now be stored in the Magic Wardrobe of the Player-Owned House.
• •The right-click 'Destroy' option on the Jeweller's Chisel has been replaced with 'Drop' option to help with inventory management.

We're continuing with the Sailing buffs, with Loot Sacks from Courier Tasks making their way into the game! Successfully completing Courier Tasks now awards Loot Sacks, helping you gather useful boat supplies as you progress through Sailing, or earning you GP! There are 5 tiers of loot sacks: Tiny, Small, Medium, Large and Huge, scaling based on the level of the task completed and the distance travelled during the task.

• •4 in 5 chance: The Loot Sack will contain GP depending on its tier. For example, a Tiny sack contains 800 to 1,200 GP, whereas a Huge sack contains 6,400 to 9,600 GP.
• •1 in 5 chance: The Loot Sack will contain a bundle of supplies which you receive all at once when opening it.

Loot Sacks are stackable and work similarly to Hunter Rumour loot sacks. If you receive a Loot Sack containing supplies, the rewards will scale based on the sack's tier, as mentioned above. Possible supply drops include:

• •Sheets (Dragon)
• •Nails (Bronze to Dragon)
• •Cannonballs (Iron to Dragon)
• •Normal to Ironwood planks
• •Bronze to Rune bars
• •Copper to Runite ores

We also loved the suggestion from players to have each Port offer a thematic supply drop that is related to their Port. Take a look at the table below to find out more!

Previously we mentioned that we'd move the Shark Paint to Loot Sacks, but on reflection we've decided to keep it as a separate drop upon completing any Courier Task so that it doesn't replace any loot you would have earned instead. That's a wrap for Loot Sacks! Let us know what you think about the changes, we're excited to see those Dragon Cannons now that upgrades are much more accessible!

• •Aligning your boat with offshore fishing spots should now feel smoother and easier:
• •These fishing spots no longer have a south-western bias, meaning approaching them from any direction should feel consistent.
• •Your boat is no longer considered to be overlapping these spots if it's only overlapping the outer tiles.

• •Alry the Angler’s Angling Accessories has been updated to show the correct stocks of items.
• •The Group Storage chests can once again be used by Group Ironmen, rather than giving a misleading message about Deadman.
• •The Bronze scimitar crate on Ape Atoll no longer shows a picture of an Iron scimitar.
• •Empty vials will now be cleared up after killing an opponent in Last Man Standing if you have the 'Smash empty vials' setting turned off. This should help you manage your inventory using empty vials during a fight, but still allow for a nice clean-up after a kill to prepare for your next foe!
• •Shoals no longer appear twice in the level-up messages.

The RuneScape Art Community has wrapped up the Wyrmscraig Art Competition! We had over 40 entries to this competition that happened on the RuneScape Art Community Discord and each and every one of you should be so proud of what you've created. We are extremely lucky to have such a talented bunch of artists within our community. Your creativity continues to amaze us. This competition was judged by a panel of experts: Prezleek, Enkoro and Gnome, the player designer of Wyrmscraig. Here's what Gnome had to say on each of the winning entries!

“When I first saw this piece, I immediately knew it would be a strong contender. A stunning acrylic masterwork of biblical grandiosity, like something out of a real museum. The clouds alight with streaks of lightning, crowning the splendid figure of The Mad Angel in her full glory. A job very well done!”

Freiya Snow“An awesome piece that frames The Mad Angel like the stained glass windows of her own cathedral - a styling that feels reminiscent of Old School's own styling. The chosen perspective of the angel gazing down at you really solidifies her majestic presence.”

FUNNIEST“Several submissions made me smile, but this one got me laughing without reserve, juxtaposing poor Muriel's distress with the adventurer's blissfully ignorant and self-serving demeanor. The adventurer truly has a wondrous moral compass!”

MOST UNIQUE“This one was a clear standout for how different it was, taking the unusual approach of creating a full 3D mini of The Mad Angel, chained and isolated to her throne, with fantastic care and finesse in the painting. RuneScape tabletop wargame when?”

MOST CREATIVE“A different vision of Wyrmscraig that captures the comfort and coziness that lies beneath its hard exterior in a gorgeous, highly-detailed pixel-art canvas. It felt like a perfect summary of the island itself and a wonderful way to sunset the competition.”

These entries stood out to the panel, and whilst they didn't win the prizes, they deserve special recognition for their creativity, quality and impact on the panel!
